Experimental Analysis and Performance Investigation of Immiscible Super-Critical CO2 Flooding Processes in Tight Oil Reservoir

CO2 flooding, a promising technique of enhanced oil recovery, is widely used for its capability boosting and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, the displacement performance supercritical tested in laboratory under immiscible flooding. The results show that: Supercritical improves by virtue low viscosity, high diffusivity, easy dissolution. With same pore volume (PV), flooding significantly boosted recovery factor. factor reached maximum, when almost 1.5PV was injected. As moved from phase to state, efficiency increased 10%. To obtain factor, non-supercritical needed inject more than Light hydrocarbon components (C1-7) crude were gradually extracted before breakthrough, while heavy (C7+) mainly after breakthrough. addition, intermediate hydrocarbons critical sum up, outperforms injection performance, efficiency, exchange rate.
